Set aside time to tour the incredible Acuario del Bajío, and appreciate marine life in all its splendor. Explore approximately 300 species, spread throughout 11 exhibition areas.

This is a very important tourist attraction in the city. In its underground area there is a series of crypts, which are open every day from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Its monumental doors are also worth admiring, with sculptures in bronze relief, sculpted by the architect José Carlos Ituarte González.

On land donated by Don Francisco Lozornio, a businessman from León, stands this arch that originally delimited the end of the city. The current lion statue is made of bronze, and is arguably the most important symbol of the city. The original arch was built in 1883 by Civil Engineer Pedro Tejada León in wood and covered with plaster to commemorate the 83rd Anniversary of the Independence of Mexico under the name "Arco De La Paz". The pedestal and the vases that finish off the arch were ideas contributed by Teodoro Galván. In 1886 it was made of quarry, and is preserved to this day.

El Zoológico de León is located on the way to Ibarrilla. It is a fantastic, family-friendly attraction, promoting an environment of conservation and respect for animals. In 1994 the veterinary clinic was created and the Night Safari started in 2002. In addition, as of November 10, 2006, the Safari Zooleón opens its doors, with guided tours; it is designed to be like an African savannah, with animals in semi-freedom. It has 240 different species and more than 2,000 animals, eight unique species in México.

The zona piel is  dedicated to footwear and other industry products. It offers the most important shoe brands in the city and the country, all in one place. It right next to the Central de Autobuses, one of the main places where visitors come to the city to shop for footwear, leather goods and leather products.

Teatro Bicentenario is considered the best opera house in Latin America; it is an avant-garde venue with a capacity of 1,500 people. Enjoy various artistic expressions such as opera, music, theater and dance.

This stadium boasts a long tradition in the country. Estadio León (or, officially, Nou Camp) was built in 1967 with a capacity for 35,000 spectators. It has served as a venue for the México 1968 Olympics, the México 1983 Youth World Cup and the México 1970 and 1986 World Cups. It is currently the home of Club León.

Originally built as the Centro de Convenciones y Exposiciones de León (CONEXPO)  in 1978, the Centro de Convenciones Polifórum is currently the largest convention center in Latin America.

This green space provides a recreation area that is ideal for those who like to exercise in the open air; it offers two tracks of just over seven kilometers for runners and bicycles, which surround the dam. Many significant events take place here throughout the year, such as the Internacional de Globos Aerostáticos, the largest in Latin America, which is held every year in November. Triathlons, races, cultural events and more are hosted here as well.
