The Mexico Naval Museum is located in the city of Veracruz. The museum was founded in the first headquarters of the Heroic Naval Military School on July 1, 1997, during the presidential term of Ernesto Zedillo.
Museo Baluarte de Santiago
This museum opened its doors in 1991 to exhibit the "Las Joyas del Pescador" archaeological collection of pre-Columbian gold objects.
The Baluarte of Santiago is a military building with restricted access and high walls, which was completed in 1635. It formed part of the nine bastions that made up the wall that surrounded the port of Veracruz.
Isla de en medio

Located 14 kilometers from Antón Lizardo beach in the municipality of Alvarado, the Isla de Enmedio is known for its white sand and turquoise waters - more similar to the Mexican Caribbean than to those of the Gulf of Mexico. This beautiful island is part of the Veracruz Reef System, declared a Protected Natural Area in 1992.

This museum displays many of Agustin Lara's personal items, including his clothes, discography, magazines and personal photos of the family. It also features several rooms with information and facts about the life of this great character.
Tlacotalpan
This area features important tourist attractions such as the house of Hernán Cortés and the sanctuary of the Holy Christ, among others.
As part of this festival, a parade for the Virgin of the Candlemas takes place along the river, along with a presentation of the Child in the Temple. This is a popular festival for Tlacotalpeños.
Orizaba
Located two hours from Veracruz, Orizaba features numerous Catholic temples and convents; the city experienced a great deal of growth during the Porfirato era of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
