La Campana is an archaeological site belonging to the Tehuchitlán tradition, whose main characteristic is the shaft tombs. This site was developed in western México parallel to other regional spaces such as Teotihuacán and Monte Albán in the Early Classic period, so it is also an example of the first urban settlements in Mesoamerica. The territory covers 132 hectares and is located between the Colima and Pereira rivers.

The Volcán Nevado de Colima is an extinct volcano. From the summit you will be able to appreciate the view of the Volcán de Colima, which is still active. There are two designated camping sites, La Joya and Curva del Leñador. The first few miles are moderate and wooded. The last few miles are steep and rocky which makes the ride a bit more difficult.
